![]() Anyway if you haven't tried it i would highly recommend giving it a go if you have a source game as it's free. There are archers (one with a longbow and one with a crossbow), normal ground troops with a variety of weapons, and knights (with a variety of weapons ranging from battle axes to maces). It's a blastĬlasses: There are a couple different class you can be. I remember shooting sideways at people trying to get across a rope bridge over a canyon and knocking them off or killing them, and shooting down contested hallways. Being an archer was my favorite class though as they're really powerful (but hard to use) and getting a kill is EXTREMELY satisfying. If you're being an archer, you must also account for arrow drop and (once again, if i remember right) you do not have any help aiming. I don't think that holding up your shield (if you're a class that has one) drains your stamina, but getting hit does. The more stamina you have the more damage you do (if i remember right. The game uses a stamina system, which your sword attacks (if i remember right) deplete. When first starting out the game is generally hard and you'll probably die a lot, as there are a few things you need to take note of. On some maps there are useable siege weapons to assist you. There's a defending team and an attacking team, and the attacks much breach the defenders and capture something, kill someone, or something of that sort. Once that's out of the way, you start the match. Gameplay: When you start out, you select a team and a class. It's a first person online medieval combat game, with several different classes and weapons. It doesn't modify any particular game though, but you need to have a source game to run it. #Chivalry medieval warfare forum mod#Also i haven't played in awhile but will refresh myself later and make changes where needed):Īge of Chivalry is a free mod for source games (Left 4 Dead, Half-Life 2, etc). If you don't know what it is here's a description (i'm not very good at these but will try my best. I was wondering if anypony here plays / has played Age of Chivalry. (UPDATED: Went back and added a lot more information about Chivalry: Medieval Warfare as it is now released). Didn't see a thread for these games so thought i'd make one. ![]()
